Emmett has nine years of USACE Thermography and building enclosure testing on new construction and the re-commissioning of buildings on bases across Alaska, and 10 years of energy auditing experience of commercial, residential and multi-family buildings throughout Alaska. Emmet and is co-owner of Alaska Thermal Imaging, LLC (ATI) which specializes in building envelope testing and building diagnostics in cold and coastal climates. ATI has practical experience pinpointing causes of existing conditions and building enclosure system failure in everything from hospitals, natatoriums and multifamily housing projects from the Southeast to the Interior of Alaska that require whole building air leakage testing and building enclosure commissioning with thermography.
Emmett’s various projects include energy performance goals and owners’ expectations of durable construction for new and existing building enclosures. Emmett’s education and certifications include ITC Certified Level II Thermographer, ABAA Air Barrier Auditor, AHFC Certified BEES Rater, BPI Building Analyst Professional, BPI Healthy Homes Evaluator, UGBC LEED for Homes Green Rater 2009-2017, AAEP Past President & Founder, licensed plumber and mechanical contractor.
