Weatherization 101: How to Save Money and Stay Warm this Winter

A well-sealed home can make a real difference in comfort and heating costs, especially through the winter. This class covers the fundamentals of weatherization, including air sealing, insulation levels and types, moisture and ventilation control, and how to identify where a home is losing heat. We’ll go over low-cost DIY fixes homeowners can tackle themselves, larger projects worth considering for bigger savings, common problem areas specific to Alaska homes, and available programs or incentives that can help offset the cost.
