This class walks through the basics of home electrification, including heating systems, water heating, and major appliances, and how they compare to more traditional systems in cost, performance, and reliability. We’ll cover the technologies involved, how electrification interacts with Alaska’s grid and cold climate, and key things to think about before making the switch, from upfront costs to how these systems hold up through an Alaska winter.
