Born and bred in Fairbanks, Nathan brings extensive Alaska-based policy and PR experience to CCHRC. Nathan currently works for the Arctic Encounter Symposium, the United States’ largest annual Arctic policy and business forum, in outreach and programming. Nathan has interned in state and national government for Representative David Guttenberg (D-AK HD4) and US Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK). He has also worked under the Fairbanks Native Law Staff Attorney at Alaska Legal Services Corporation and spent a summer with Launch Alaska, Alaska’s first climate technology-oriented business accelerator, working to help scale business start-ups for success in the state. Nathan is currently studying in a graduate program at UAF in Arctic and Northern Studies, concentrating in Tribal law, and received his B.A. degree in Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College, where he was honored as a National Udall Scholar, in 2021. Nathan will eventually attend law school.
