Lauri Strauss has 32 years of professional experience in architecture managing numerous project types, the majority of which were for municipal, county, state and federal government clients. In 2012, she founded design2 LAST, inc with a mission to provide sustainable architectural solutions to all clients. Lauri’s focus on sustainable design began in 1993 when she was pursuing her Master’s degree. Her passion for sustainable architecture has grown over the last 20 years, realizing architects have a responsibility to design high performing and low impact buildings. Lauri continually seeks new information and educates clients as to the benefits of sustainable designed projects. Along with her previous service on the Cascadia Region Green Building Council Board of Directors, she has been active on several sustainable building committees. Lauri currently serves as Executive Secretary on the Fairbanks based Cold Climate Housing Research Center’s (CCHRC) Board of Directors. She managed the sub-committee planning the green building track for the annual Alaska Forum on the Environment between 2007 and 2011. In 2012, Lauri became a Fellow of the Cascadia GBC for her commitment to green building in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
