The Cold Climate Weatherization Installer Badges are a set of skills verification microcredentials that aim to increase training and consistency for different weatherization and energy efficiency installation tactics. Consisting of 25 standard Badges, the online training portal guides participants through various installation tactics, including air sealing, insulating, and ventilating, allowing them to develop the necessary tools to develop these skills. Once participants have mastered the online content and performed the skill on site, they earn a “badge.”
While the Badges are designed to provide consistency in training across the country, CCHRC has created additional content that caters specifically to Alaska, climate zones 6, 7 and 8, and cold climate building and weatherization techniques.
Please allow 24 hours for an email granting you access to the Badges portal.
