Design

Every home begins with a design.  Making sure that a home is designed and engineered to withstand the extreme climatic conditions of the region is important for energy consumption, structural integrity, longevity, comfort and many other factors that make our homes enjoyable.

The Cold Climate Housing Research Center has its own architectural team which strives to make innovative and appropriate cold climate construction techniques a reality.

The CCHRC also has a wealth of information on arctic design.
