Kasey Casort works as a joint project intern with the Cold Climate Housing Research Center and partner organization Information Insights. In this role, she helps with grant writing for energy efficiency retrofit funding in small Alaskan communities and assists with interviews for a multi-year permafrost research project. She also works on the Solarize Fairbanks project, helping local homes and businesses harness their buying power to go solar at a discount. Kasey grew up in Fairbanks and is working toward a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies: Climate Resilience & Adaptation from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
